Notice of the Right to Opt-out of the Sale of Personal Information

Shift offers our customers choice about how we use their information. The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) gives California residents the right to opt-out of the “sale” of their personal information. However, there are some exceptions to this right. For example, the opt-out right under CCPA does not apply to information that we share with certain third-party service providers so that they can perform certain business functions for Shift or on behalf of Shift.

The CCPA broadly defines “sale” of personal information in a way that may include allowing third parties to receive certain information to add to a profile about your device, browser, or you. This profile may be used for the purpose of providing personalized advertisements from third party advertising networks. Note that we will never sell, trade, or rent any personal data, or any anonymous data that may contain personal data, to any third-party without your explicit prior consent (as outlined in our privacy policy).

Shift takes your privacy very seriously and we support the right for California residents to opt-out of the "sale" of their personal information.
